Fin, the dolphin, and Ali, the alligator, learned songs like God Bless America and America the Beautiful in Music Class at their school in Key West, Florida.

Living in South Florida, they had only seen beaches, sand, and the Atlantic Ocean. But now, they want to see what these songs are talking about. So, they set off on a one-of-a-kind adventure to explore the “America the Beautiful” of the songs they love. They’re going to travel from Florida to Alaska, and they hope to make some new friends along the way.

Hi, I’m Steven Katz, and I’m now – officially – an Author!

I spent the first 27 years of my life in New York before I moved to Florida, where the weather is a lot nicer. I first developed my love for working with kids spending 7 years as a summer camp counselor. I was an elementary school teacher for over 26 years, and still kinda miss it, at least the interaction with you kids. I was also the supervisor of an after-school program and a summer camp. Those were really fun things to do while I was also teaching. I got to use my experience from summer camp to help build a fun summer camp for kids at my school.

But now I’ve found a new way to connect with you kids, and it’s by writing books. This is my very first one. And I hope it makes you smile.
